My Happy Place

One thing I needed to do during my process of healing was to create a spot within my home dedicated to my angel, Dakota. It didn't take much and I love the outcome. Most of the time I sit in the chair, which I had orginally planned on breastfeeding Dakota in, and write her a letter in my Letters to Dakota book. I cuddle my nieces and nephew. I listen to my Dakota music list while I sit here and remember her.

Take a look for yourself. What do you think?

Take Out That Ponytail!! (Passing on from: Mommy Mind Spa)

OK moms .. let’s talk about your ponytail. You know I can see you ... right? I can see your hair pulled back in the same old ponytail that you wear every single day!!

How do I know this? Because I do it too. Most moms do!

We don’t normally have time to style our hair. Who’s kidding who ... unfortunately, having kids means we get less and less time to take care of ourselves ... and make us feel pretty.

Today ... all moms are going to remove the scrunchy. We are taking out the ponytail. We are going to take 5 minutes (or more!) and do something pretty with our hair.

I have this awesome pink flat iron that I love! But of course, it rarely gets used. It takes me 30 minutes to blow dry my hair and flat iron it properly ... and I don’t have that kind of time.

But today ... I’m going to take the time and flat iron my hair. Today ... I’m wearing my hair down!

Join me! Take your Mom-ME Moment today and do something nice with your hair. You deserve it!
