I'm Getting Married

I wanted to announce to all of my readers.... My fiance and I set our wedding date. Aug. 11, 2012. I'm so excited/stressed as well.

We've already picked out our Honeymoon location... I'm so excited for this. We are going to a couple's only resort... bunch of romantic things involved. More info to come on this at a later date.

I've already found my wedding dress, matron of honor's dress, groom's attire, flower girls dress, and the rings.

So, what's your favorite wedding memory?

The Waiting Game

As everyone who's been following along with my story knows, I'm in the process of preparing for a full mouth extraction.

This past Wednesday I met with the dental surgeon who may be doing the surgery providing the insurance approves it from that aspect. They told me that the procedure would be about two hours long and I'd be put "to sleep". This sounds good so I don't have to go through the entire two hours watching what they are doing.

At this point in time, I have no idea when they are going to do it. I guess the way it works is... my home dentist got the approval for the dentures. I misunderstood them thinking this was for everything. The insurance company has to also approve the "plan" and agree to pay for what the surgeon has planned. They said that it will be a rough road to recovery but once it's done... I will be agreeing that this was the best thing I ever did.

In all bluntness, I'm scared shitless. I'm so nervous. I have a five year old and my fiance works. He can put her off to school but I'm the one who normally gets her off the bus. So, at this point I have no idea how we are going to work this. Over the coarse of five years, I've heard friends and family tell me that I need to get my teeth taken care of and they would be there to help.

Wednesday was a challenge to all of them... I guess you could say a test in which several failed. People told me they had things to do around the time my daughter got off the bus and therefore couldn't get her. (If I wasn't back in time). I had two offers to help from those I least expected. So, I want to thank that person for coming to help when I needed you. I appreciate it.

So, I'm asking anyone out there that's been through this to share tips for afterward on the healing process and how I can make myself the most comfortable. What types of things should I avoid? Is it very painful? Help me ease my mind so nothing comes as a surprise.

Thanks for reading.

Outcome of Dentist Appointment

Yesterday I went to the dentist to get a troublesome tooth taken care of. I didn't expect them to do much at all. For the past five years, any dentist I went to pretty much only did the basics. They never actually tried to fix the issues I have with my teeth. We've always ran into something that stopped me from my goal. My goal is a full mouth extraction and dentures. It's hard finding a dentist who'd be willing to pull all the teeth of a 24 yr old.

The dentist deemed it medically necessary to have a full mouth extraction and dentures placed. My prayer answered. I began crying because I never thought I'd hear those words.

I've been referred to a dentist who will remove all my teeth. I've called and made the consultation appointment. The sooner I get it and get this started, the sooner I will be in a good pain. Pain from healing and on my way to a beautiful smile once again.

I will be documenting each step (if all parties agree) so all my followers can follow me with this journey as well.

Thanks to all those who added me into their prayers. God Bless.

Prayers Needed

For all those out there willing.... please add me to your prayers. I've been in pain for the past day over my teeth. My fiance is calling around to see if he can get me into a dentist. I need all of my teeth pulled at the age of 24. The pain is too much. As I'm writing this, I am looking at my screen through tears. I'm asking for everyone to pray that I get the help that I need when it comes to getting this taken care of.

Thank you very much.

AT&T services and dropped calls

I've had a cell phone for about 5 years. Well, I should say with a contract. When I first got my cell phone, my fiance and I went with the best provider in our area. Cellular One. After about two years of service, AT&T bought the rights to Cell One. From that point, my cell phone service has went down hill and has continued to go down hill.

It seems that AT&T claims to have the best 3G network out there. I beg to differ with this. I've lived in several area's where my cell phone doesn't work. For over two years, I lived in Fairview, WV.  Within those two years, I could only use my cell phone when I went into Fairmont. Then, I moved to Masontown, PA. When we first stayed there, our cell phones worked fine. (This was during the merger with the two cell companies) Once the merger was done, so was the cell phone service. I had to walk into town to get service. Let me say this, walking in the cold just to make a phone call sucks.

So, some ask me why I don't just get a house phone. I look at it this way. Number one we were staying with family at the time. Therefore, it wasn't our decision to get a land line phone. Second, I feel that with paying $150.00 - $175.00 a month for cell phone service... we should get awesome service for our hard earned money.

Shortly after this problem arise, we moved to where we live now. Our cell phone service has been touch and go since we moved in over a year ago. As of today, I'm lucky to make or receive phone calls as well as text messages. I can't seem to make any calls at all when I'm at home. I have to walk into town to make calls when my daughter is in school. I don't know about you, but I quite frankly don't want to be making important calls to utility companies and such in public. That's my personal business. Not everyone who walks by.

So, I'm writing this to see if any other AT&T customers out there have any other problems like we are having? If so, have you called about it? I know we've called a million times. We've complained but nothing seems to be getting through to this company.

If things continue to go the way they are, I wont renew my contract. That's for sure.

Blogging and Followers

As I was sitting in my living reading through blogs others have posted, something came to my mind. We have blog hops to get more followers and we even reach out to those on twitter too. We can even include facebook in on this as well.

My role as a follower..... I feel when I hit that follow button on someone elses blog... I am supposed to interact with it. Such as reading future posts and making more then my first "I'm your newest follower" post. I try to engage in all the blogs I follow one way or another.

But what do you do when you don't get the favor in return?

I even go to the limits to retweet about blog hops, giveaways, and much more.

Anyone else do this too and feel the same way at times??

Take Out That Ponytail!! (Passing on from: Mommy Mind Spa)

OK moms .. let’s talk about your ponytail. You know I can see you ... right? I can see your hair pulled back in the same old ponytail that you wear every single day!!

How do I know this? Because I do it too. Most moms do!

We don’t normally have time to style our hair. Who’s kidding who ... unfortunately, having kids means we get less and less time to take care of ourselves ... and make us feel pretty.

Today ... all moms are going to remove the scrunchy. We are taking out the ponytail. We are going to take 5 minutes (or more!) and do something pretty with our hair.

I have this awesome pink flat iron that I love! But of course, it rarely gets used. It takes me 30 minutes to blow dry my hair and flat iron it properly ... and I don’t have that kind of time.

But today ... I’m going to take the time and flat iron my hair. Today ... I’m wearing my hair down!

Join me! Take your Mom-ME Moment today and do something nice with your hair. You deserve it!
