Our Souvenir from the Pocono's
As of October 31st, it's been confirmed that Hubby and I are expecting our second baby. That's right we have a lifetime souvenir from our honeymoon. This is super exciting for us. Yes, we threw out any means of prevention and it didn't take us long to get our wish to complete our little family.
We have already picked out a boys name, which Hubby is hoping for. Either way I'm going to be happy with whatever the baby ends up being... as long as the baby is healthy. I'm 11 weeks along and heard the heartbeat for the first time on Halloween. This definitely beats trick or treating. I'll be going back on the 15th of November for our first ultrasound. This has me super stoked.
So, now there is another direction my blog will go in. Not only will it center on Mommy stuff but also on the journey of this pregnancy. So, I'd love it if all of the followers out there come along with me on this journey.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

General Update on The Buda Family
My little princess has missed four days (today included) because of her cold. I hate her missing school but her health is much more important to me. I'm doing what I can for her although I've been feeling down as well. But that's a Mommy's job and I wouldn't want to change it for the world.
I also wanted to share some of our wedding photos. I haven't had the chance to... so take a moment and enjoy. Share your thoughts in the comments. I'd love to hear what you think.

School and the Bus Stop
Normally I'm the only one waiting for the bus at the end of my driveway. As I've been standing here... I noticed something. High school kids don't care anymore.
Which brings me to a story I read about:
A 17 year old female was driving with two of her friends. She asked them if they wanted to die and purposely ran off the road causing an accident.
This makes me think that those under 18 or even 21 should not be allowed to get their license. A few people began to argue with me over this. Saying age isn't the issue its the girls mental state.
I look at it this way.... if by law kids weren't allowed to drive until either 18 or 21.... that situation would have never happened.
As a parent, what do you think?

Wedding and Vacation
Hey all... I'm back with an update. First and foremost ...I'M MARRIED! The wedding was a success and turned out beautiful. I'm so grateful for all the friends and family that shared the day with us. Here is a look into this event.
Our daughter made a beautiful flower girl. My cousins son was the ring bearer. We had two bridesmaids and Groomsman.
Shortly after we took our honeymoon and vacation. We went to the Poconos to the resort here and it was beautiful.

Summer Fun
As I'm taking my breather for the night, I'm reflecting on the time spend and the upcoming moments that are left for the summer. This weekend is our camping trip. Next weekend is our wedding. Then off to our honeymoon.
After we come back, my nephew's first birthday is that weekend. The following Monday my daughter starts school.
Where did time go? This summer went too quickly. Do you feel the same way?

Wedding Progress Update #2
We figured out a few more things that I can share with you. Such as the bridesmaids dresses and the flower girl dress. They will be personalized to our colors but it will give you an idea. So, here's the flower girl dress:
We are going to go the waist accented with hot pink instead of the ivory you see here. She'll carry a basket that is hot pink and black filled with hot pink and back rose pedals. Along with that, she's be wearing a pair of tennis shoes under neath that are also rep of the wedding colors.
Next is the bridesmaids dresses:
Once again with this one... under the breast area will be hot pink. Their accessories they've chosen will pop the punk. Along with flat shoes as well.
I do wish I could share my dress with you but seeing how I can't.... I will share my garter though...
Hope you enjoyed the peek inside our plans..... until next time... Happy Easter to you all.

Exciting and Stressful.... Who would have thought it??
So, my fiance and I began talking. We aren't your normal couple. We are know to always do things backwards or up side down if possible. So, why not do this with the wedding as well. So, we decided to add a theme and spice up the colors a bit. The first colors of choice was baby blue and baby pink... but this isn't us at all. Now the final colors are our favorite. Hot pink and black. I'm sure you can guess which color I like and which one he likes.
Then we decided that the frilly and pretty aspect that reminds you of a princess .... wasn't me either. So, our new theme is..... Punk!!! The idea's that my wedding party has thrown around brought about some awesome idea's. I'd like to share with you my plans from this point out with the wedding and then after we get back from our honeymoon, I'd love the chance to share my pictures with you.
How many of you would like to follow along with the details and share your thoughts??

Emotional Basket Case
At this point, most of the pain is gone. I was having bad pain with just placing them in my mouth. But I had an adjustment done yesterday. They feel a lot better. Although I think I may need to go back because I think they need to be adjusted again.
I'm not really sure how to feel about this. I want to look like myself again. But I feel I look different. Like weird, different. I was hoping for so much and I'm scared that I may be disappointed in the end. At this time, I really can't eat with them in.... and that's a shame because it's one of the reasons why I needed to get them. Even soft foods are difficult. In all honesty, it's really hard eating food you can't feel on the roof of your mouth. Drinking liquids aren't so hard. I've pretty much mastered that.
So, anyone with dentures....I have a question... How can I begin eating foods I love? I wanna eat a steak.. but have no idea how I'm going to get there.

The Writing World...
As some of you have probably noticed, I haven't really posted much within the past week. This is due to me launching my new/old blog called The Writing World. I created this blog last year to use sort of like a journal for my journey to being published. I've made some more recent changes. I'm now doing book reviews there. I'm looking for Authors who are interested in doing guest posts, interviews, or join in for an Author Spotlight.
I'm looking into doing book giveaways, while you're there please answer the poll to add your opinion.
If you're interested, please take a moment to check it out. I'd love to hear from you.
Also, if you would, Please visit The Writing World on Facebook to keep up to date on all posts, learning more writing tips, and support me in my journey.

Smile.... not so easy now.....But it will be!!
Man, I feel like I'm a Saint Bernard. I'm slobbering so much. (LOL) Yes, you can laugh because I am. The dentist said this is normal and will last about a month depending on my body. I'm trying not to use the adhesive right now. I plan on using it once I can wear the dentures all day. This way I'm not wasting the adhesive.
I haven't tried to eat with them yet. Not sure really how to do this one. I was told to start with soft foods and work my way up. I'm not sure if I'm ready to try eating with them yet. Like yesterday when I came home, I was thirsty. So, I grabbed something to drink... yeah... that didn't work out so well. The drink ended up all over me instead of in my mouth. I was like "WTF???" These were supposed to help. LOL Thank God it was a little bit of soda and not hot coffee. That could have been bad.
To give everyone an idea of the steps I went through.... here are some pictures:
Here is what my teeth looked like before my surgery... |
Swelling after surgery |
Waiting for my gums to heal.... |
Trying them on ... although they weren't completely finished. |
The finished look... taking them home to start the adjustment phase of this journey. |
I want to thank everyone who has passed on their tips and suggestions to me. Thank you for being so kind and offering words of encouragement. Thank you for all the wonderful compliments I have gotten over the past few months. I must say.... I have some pretty awesome people reading my blog!!!

Dangers of Caffeine
After going through the "sick" feelings for about two weeks, I decided that perhaps it was something more than just the normal virus making me feel this way. I began to do a little research. I evaluated my everyday life to see what I was doing that could possibly contribute to the way I feel.
I came across something very surprising. It very well may be that I drink way too much caffeine. Let me explain, I'm not one to drink water. (Yeah, shame on me.. I know) But honestly, most people I know drink a little bit but not the required amount. I start my morning with a pot, yes pot, of coffee. Then, I drink soda. (Bad habits) Toward the afternoon, I make about a half of a pot of coffee and drink it as I'm helping my daughter with her homework. Once it's gone (and I don't always finish every pot I make), I might drink water or juice.
I decided last night that maybe the stomach pains and feeling of nausea was from too much caffeine. As I'm writing this, I'm amazed by how bad my diet really is. I never actually realized it. It was easy to get into this routine with my past experiences with eating. As some of you know, I am currently recovering from a full mouth extraction and getting dentures. (No the diet is not the cause) Over the past five years, my diet changed from solids to liquids because I couldn't chew. Therefore, coffee helped take away the hunger feeling and gave me the energy I needed to get through the day. The end resulted in how I'm living now.
So, if you're like me... before your problem becomes worse or even your health... you may want to continue reading about the Dangers of Caffeine. (I didn't realize how bad it actually is for you)
1. Caffeine can help contribute in Panic Attacks. When drinking caffeine, it wakes us up. (One reason people love to drink it) It causes the "fight-or-flight" response in our body. When consuming high amounts of caffeine, fight-or-flight instinct gets reduced to panic attacks. Some reaction that can occur are your hands becoming sweaty, your heart quickens, you experience shakiness, and then even may feel like something bad is going to happen. (Panic attack)
2. Caffeine is addictive. Yes, not sure if you knew this but it is. It's just like any other type of drug out there. Our bodies get used to the caffeine we ingest every day. Once there's an ongoing pattern, we even crave the caffeine. If the craving isn't addressed... we can have negative side affects like headaches, being tired, irritable, and even feel depressed.
3. Caffeine contributes to dehydration. Even though coffee, soda, and any other drinks that contain caffeine are liquid... caffeine can dehydrate you. So, in reality... it's not a great thing. I'm sure you agree.
4. Caffeine can be connected to stomach cramping and feeling nausea. When drinking caffeine in a short amount of time (depending on your tolerance) this can make you nauseous. Some people drink coffee in the morning, maybe a soda at lunch, and drink tea for the remaining parts of the day with little to no water in between. This is an over load of caffeine. And not so great for your body. It can cause anxiety, jitters, headaches, lightheadedness , in addition to the nausea.
So from doing this research, I know I'll be slowing down and watching my intake of caffeine. I deal with anxiety issues and depression. This started even before I began my intake of so much caffeine. The caffeine just makes those symptoms worse. I know I'll struggle with finding other (non caffeine) drinks to drink during the day.... but I got to find out if this is the reasons why I feel sick.
How much caffeine do you consume in a day? Did you find this post useful?

Half Way There.....
So the reason for this post is to announce that as of today, I'm two weeks away from this process being over. As long as everything works out right, I should have my brand new dentures on Jan 31. Last Wednesday and today have been my latest appointments. On Jan. 11, the denture process started. I went to make the first impression for them. It was uncomfortable but a relief all in one. Today I went back and tried out the wax version of the impression to get the measurements perfect. The first impression was made into a wax impression where they melted the wax down to fit my mouth. I also got to pick out the shade of white for my "teeth".
It feels so great. I never thought this process would ever be here. And here I am. Excited. To give you the very brief look into the past, I'll share a photo with you with how bad my teeth were (as well as my health) due to my teeth. It's very important to take care of them. (Which I did but had no control due to other health issues) So, here I am in Nov of last year right before my surgery:
After about 5 years of fighting, I now look like this. And I'm proud of it. I got my life back. Yes it was at the cost of my teeth but it's the best thing I ever did. I have no regrets.
I absolutely love this picture. The next photo of me will be right after I put in the finished dentures at the dentist office. So, I wanted to thank everyone who supported me in the process. And for those who look at these pictures and judge them..... I pray that one day you will have the ability to understand. I also would suggest you reading the post I did a while ago titled..."Think before you speak."
I am proud of who I am and what I look like. This journey has shown me not to judge others by their looks because you have no idea what they are going through, it's taught me to be thankful for everything in my life (both little and big), and it's taught me exactly what happiness feels like. AND IT FEELS GREAT!!!!
Thanks so much for reading. I really hope this post has touched you in some way and made a difference in your life.

Visit this Author
Description: When Laedron Telpist's sorcery training is interrupted by a knock on the door, what once seemed a proper profession must now be hidden. In a world where priests and mages vie for the limitless power of the elements and a new Grand Vicar has sworn death to all sorcerers, Laedron is tossed into a nightmare which would see his destruction at every turn.
From the home shores in western Sorbia, through the Cael'Brilland heartlands, and even across the seas to the great city of Azura, Laedron finds himself embracing old friends, consorting with unlikely allies, and confronting potent enemies. As he struggles to train himself in spell craft, Laedron must face that he lives in a time when the utterance of a simple spell could be the signature on his death warrant.
Review:
The Circle of Sorcerers takes you on an unexpected journey with it's main character- Laedron Telpist. Laedron is a Sorcerer in the making. During his training, an unexpected event forces him to learn faster then he expects. He finds some great friends and they all go into a journey to fighting. In this world, Priests and Mages go into battle for power. Laedron and his friends are put right in the middle of this battle shortly after leaving home.
I enjoyed reading about Laedron and his journey. The story is packed with adventure and leaves the reader wanting more. The Character's are written in such a way where they stay with the reader even after the end of the book. The end of the book ended rapidly which took me by surprise. I'm definitely looking forward to the second book.
